Job Summary:

Our Multinational product offering and dedicated underwriting expertise is a key differentiator in the marketplace. This underwriter will be responsible for business development & underwriting responsibilities for Multinational Advantage business which includes all Property and Casualty lines: liability, trip travel, foreign voluntary work comp, auto and property. Additionally, this role is expected to work closely with Commercial package underwriters to develop global programs either with the stand-alone Advantage or the Customarq Global Extension.

Major Duties & responsibilities:

External focus on cultivating business relationships with our independent agents in the SW Region

  • Responsible for the execution of multinational strategies across defined territory
  • Manages and maintains focus on achieving key performance metrics – submissions, quotes, binds
  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of local marketplace to successfully manage new business acquisition
  • Monthly agency visibility is a key component

In Colorado the pay range for the role is $73,000 to $124,500. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Qualifications

Competencies/Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 5+ years Commercial P&C underwriting experience, ideally on the Multinational side
  • Ability to adapt to changing business environment
  • Proven time and desk management skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and take the initiative
  • Strong (verbal and written) communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, while demonstrating strong collaboration skills in a team environment Solid organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (word, excel, outlook)
