POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Loss Control Inspector to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loss control assessments for commercial properties. The primary responsibility of the inspector will be to conduct thorough inspections, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations for risk

reduction.

 

CONTRACT TYPE: 1099 (Independent Contractor)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Conduct on-site inspections of commercial properties to assess risk factors related to property, general liability, and incidental auto exposures.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations for underwriting purposes.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of commercial property and casualty lines, including property, general liability, auto, and workers compensation.
  • Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and concise reports.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in computer systems for report preparation and submission.
  • Manage time effectively to meet inspection deadlines.
  • Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams through designated platforms or web-based systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent contractor providing loss control services.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in commercial property and casualty lines.
  • Strong analytical and observational skills to accurately assess risk factors.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written reports.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to inspection sites.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

 

COMPENSATION:

Compensation for this position will be based on a competitive per-inspection fee. Specific details will be discussed during the contracting process.
